study of gray
So much learnt from last lighting class - there's going to be much to unravel, much paying attention to what will float into understanding in subtle, under-articulate volutes.
There's the cumulative experience of 3 days' setting up and patterning. But the smallest first degree of independence also. Designing.
The study of gray: simple 2 lights setup, one umbrella bounce at 45° front, and one grid "hair" light at diagonal also, onto the skirt - dessine le contour de chaque forme, chaque muscle, en highlight. The loveliness of the model, the dance clothes, the colour range. The coherence of the background, clothes, light quality and combination.The sharpness, slight drama, of the light (no softbox, a slight feel of the stage).
